Where it began

The crowd cheered around him as his massive opponent fell. He remained emotionless.
The twelve year old boy turned and walked to the back where all the others in training sat. They stared at him in awe. His power and speed surpassed all yet he never seemed to try. He never cared for any of the applauses nor compliments he got. Well . . . almost did not care.
"Good job Sasuke." Her voice was warm and kind. His heart accelerated as he felt her hand rest on his shoulder. He turned to look at her.
A smile adorned her face. Her beautiful emerald eyes glittered even in the dim lighting. He immediately stood, he brought her hand to his lips and placed a small kiss there.
"Thank you, your majesty." He whispered to her. They stood there for the longest time, hand in hand, in their own world.
Sakura finally broke the silence.
"Sasuke, would you. . . walk me back to my room?"
A blush slowly found its way to Sasuke's face, but with unwavering eyes he nodded.
"Of course."
They walked, still joined by their hands. The evening sky was alit with stars. Sasuke felt as if his heart would burst out of his chest as he glanced at Sakura's face.
She stopped them.
"Whats wrong?" He asked, slightly concerned now.
"Sasuke. . . I love you."
His eyes widened at the confession. She stared intently into his eyes not once breaking the contact.
"You don't have to say anything. I just wanted you to know." She said quietly.
"Why?" He knew it was a stupid question but he needed something to fill in the silence that had followed her statement.
She leaned in closer, their bodies now dangerously close.
"So you don't feel guilty afterwards." She moved her gaze from his eyes to his lips. A single hand caressed his face as the other moved to his hair. She leaned up and captured his lips with hers. At first it was a soft kiss, gentle and sweet. But their kiss turned into one filled with hunger. He hadn't realized how close to her room they were until she had somehow opened the doors. She led them to her bed.
Sasuke should have broken their kiss then, he should have walked away and told her to preserve her purity. But he didn't. Like the selfish bastard he thought himself to be. . . he took her that night without a second though.
